Crowd Research

Crowd research is a way of democratising the process of collecting large amounts of data and information. Also referred to sometimes as "citizen science", it's a way to bring research out of academic silos and into the everyday world. In doing so, lowering the barriers to participation.

 

CDPI is in the process of building a knowledge-base of the maritime Clyde. Our Clyde.Scot platform is gathering information about attractions and places of interest in the Firth of Clyde region to support its growth as a place for tourism, recreation, and thriving communities. Tell us about your favorite places to visit (description, location, facilities, amenities, etc) and help us share them with the world. You can submit content by creating a free user profile on the Clyde.Scot website. Anyone can get involved!

 

Launching in 2026 will be our Clyde Inventory database, which is a repository of information about maritime infrastructure and assets. More info in our research section...

Since the beginning our work has relied on a broad collaborative network that is aligned with our objectives to support and develop the maritime heritage of the Clyde. This includes individuals and organisations working in the third sector, private sector, and academia. We've also made connections with researchers and artists across Europe.
