Protecting and Promoting the Evolving Maritime Heritage of the Tidal River Clyde

Sites of Interest on the Clyde

We have identified a number of derelict or at risk sites along the Clyde as having potential for preservation and/or innovative new uses. We will add to this list as our research progresses. If you are interested in partnering with CDPI on projects for restoration of any of these assets please contact us.

Scott's Dry Docks

Scott's Dry Dock (also known as 'The Submarine Dock') is a derelict A-listed dry dock adjacent to Victoria Dock in Greenock. It is on the Buildings at Risk Register.

Perhaps the dock offers potential as an exhibition site for a restored tall ship or other vessel - perhaps a submarine that people can explore inside.
