Iain McGillivray

Executive & Operations Director

Iain is a graduate chemist having studied at Glasgow Caledonian University. He has previously worked in industrial quality control, process development and in web development before taking up photography as a vocation.

It was through photography that Iain became interested in Govan Graving Docks. He started a campaign for their restoration as a shipbuilding heritage park – to recognise the role the industry played in shaping the Clyde and the role that Glasgow played in world shipping.

It is this campaign, networking with others who are interested in Govan Graving Docks and development of a proposal for a heritage park that has led to the establishment of the Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative.
